If your car is nicely balanced, you carry enough speed into the corner to induce some slip angle into your front tires. You than use the throttle to over drive the rear tires and effectively create a small controlled four wheel drift. To much speed and your front slip angle will increase too much and your tires scrub off speed. Apply to much throttle and the rear-end will start coming around on. It is nice when the car is balanced. Getting there can be a challenge.
