It is killing me! Haha the near future is as soon as Harrop sends the kit. Hopefully early September if not sooner.

3k problem free miles.

Mike at Moto East tuned the car and everything is running great!

I did put in new sparks, clutch, and trans/diff fluid when doing the install.

Whelp, I guess I'll have 2 reasons to visit Nevada around October. My buddy stationed there, and your Harrop supercharged car :p

Good to hear. 3k miles trouble free miles but.... are you lusting for more power yet?

Mine went in to be fitted today - I'm getting the clutch and the trans/diff fluid too, but no new sparks - how come you did these if you don't mind me asking?

Edlebrock got their CARB EO numbers. Harrop should be happening too. Just a matter of time I bet.

I came from MR2 Turbo models where this was standard maintenance before an upgrade. I was around 43k miles (69000 km) with a fully aspirated setup at the edge of the local AKI rating allowed. The plugs looked great (Thanks Circuit Motorsports for that great tune!), but I wanted with the engine torn apart for all difficult maintenance completed before the scheduled maintenance was due. Used stock plugs for the replacement too. MotoEast says the tune looks great on 93 AKI as the system stands. My oil temps are not cresting over 83 C with hard street driving, if that helps any. I want to log at a track and dyno soon for you all.

Totally want more power! I just know that I'll get myself into more trouble than it's worth to give my right foot that liberty. Several times I've had to glance down to cut my burn short from zero kmp/mph to limit after noticing a Sheriff or Constable cruising to an upcoming intersection.

Clutch Masters FX350 with the lightened flywheel included is too much chatter and lack of rotational momentum for most drivers. Several friends immediately stall the car out without the extra forgiveness. A hunting idle is common if you dont have good throttle control and ease it into idle.

After doing several fluid changes on tracked WRX and WRX STI for friends, I don't want to take a chance on my rear diff or trans receiving less than optimum lubrication.

So I was thinking of keeping this idea to myself until a reveal, but considering the fact that I am going to wait for CARB approval and for a house purchase (per wife) before getting the kit, I figured why not pass on the idea and have someone else figure it out. I wanted to create custom water pipes for the coolant lines that route against the body of the engine like how the other pipes on the car do. Specifically, to route two lines to the right and two to the left to create a cleaner look.

I wish I could go through Subaru's parts bins to find pipes that would work. If someone gets to this task before me please post pics and parts, but if not, don't hold your breath, but that is the plan, and I'll post what I do.

Lastly the testing Harrop has done with their supercharger and oil cooler kits, have shown the ability to withstand terribly high Australian track temps. Our most popular Northern California track is also known for some of the highest temps around, which makes the Harrop kit extremely appealing to track focussed individuals. There is a strong possibility a Harrop SC will be installed on the shop track car and tested heavily, so I look forward to being on the owners list soon as well!

Maybe it's too soon to ask but can you expand on this more? Do you know how much track testing they did? I prefer the performance from positive displacement blowers, but the main issue for any track setup is how it handles heat. I see the dual intercoolers up top and wonder about their capacity and what kind of real world IAT temps are seen on tracks when being punished. I'm actively looking at different setups. I see how this is different than the Edelbrock. PD compressor reliability is not an issue... but I don't see enough about how they are handling the heat to convince me this will work at Sebring in the summer.

Maybe these are better questions for those guys so they can share what they really did to test this setup.

Thanks.

The big advantages to the Harrop SC Kit over the competition is the intercooler design, and being able to assure IAT’s on hot days is a massive priority for them.

Here is a data log from lap 5 of a 10 lap time attack session, so everything was at its peak temperature. They are running a built motor now, with more boost then the standard pulley, so even more heat.

Haul that heap to Sebring and let's check it out!

The Harrop guys seem to take their cars to the track as much as they can. I saw the 86 in action at the Geelong revival last year and it seem to run without any issues.

Bad news my install has been delayed due to a shortage of kits
