Can we have a built motor/engine thread?

For some of us, it's down the road and for others it's around the corner, whether or not we want to get a built motor/engine. I plan on getting on built before the next Import Alliance ATL (spring 2017), and have looked at CSG, MAP, Outfront, Element, FBM, and Strictly Performance.

I feel like if we had a thread and pros/cons of each, we could get better insight on why each user went with that motor/engine.

I suspect it's not which shop that is important but which parts are used. I'm no expert but it just doesn't seem that important assuming the shop knows what they are doing. I don't see there being a big difference between brands either so long as they are all well regarded. Like for turbos: GReddy, mitsubishi, Garrett, Precision, Bog Warner... All big names, can't go wrong with any of them. Same with Carillo etc. Not helpful to get your thread moving but that's my opinion I guess

I'd mainly be just upgrading internals after looking at everything. I may keep stock CR or maybe run 10:1. It seems that a good amount of people are running that on their turbo cars. I'll be getting the Ptuning after upgrading fueling. I talked to @CSG Mike about CR, but can't quite remember what he mentioned about my goals and what I need to do.

I'm simply going for around 350 or a little more. I'd be doing internals, but now I'm just stuck on what internals lol. Street car, tracked occasionally.

With the car's oiling issues, know-how matters. I would make sure to use a shop who has raced the FA20 at power levels you're going to race it at.
