Will airbags work without an ohm resistor for racing seats?

Question above, thinking about installing one without an ohm resistor. Will the airbags still deploy on impact or nah it's a must have?

You can simply wire one in, its not hard at all. I am sure the rest will still deploy but I am just some dude from the internet so don't trust me on that

a 3.3ohm 1watt resistor right. think this'll work?

also, think a 1/4 watt will work?

or use a 10ohm divide by 3?

It's 3.3 ohms, and 1 watt. I can get one at my local frys @ 3.3 ohms and 2 watts. Does the wattage matter?

I am going to say yes wattage does matter because I know that as the power/current changes so does the resistance of various things. I am no expert though

Hahaha yeah honestly you can try it they are cheap and the worst that will happen is the light will come on and you know that it doesn't work lol. It wont hurt anything to try it

As long as the impedance is correct and you have at least the recommended wattage, you'll be fine. A 2w will simply handle more current than a 1w, or run cooler on a lower amount.
