Question about tinting

For those of you that have lready tinted your windows. I know this is a framless window that moves every time you open the door. On all my other cars/trucks when i got the windows tinted i was told not to lower the window for lets say 48 hours. Has this little movement in ur windows effected your tint??

I just got my windows tinted on tuesday. It is fine. They just put extra adhesive on the bottom and ask that you not roll the windows down more than what it does automatically for 3 days.but I think mine is cured by now

I get worried with my tints and end up waiting a week ir so before i open my windows

The movement is no problem for competent tinters.

My tinted 2006 C-6 had the same window set-up.

I usually give it a little extra time as well. I wouldn't worry about it too much, most tinters should know to compensate for the movement of the window.

Well I got the one with lifetime warranty.so if it messes up in a few days i can bring it back.

The guy who did my tint, stuffed the seal down so the window did not come into contact with it. After 3 days, I rolled the windows all the way down and back up and the seal popped right back into place. No issues, and it looks great.

Be more concerned with the center tail light. To do it right, you need to pull the light out and that is not so simple. There is a thread somewhere on this site with a walk through for taking out the light.

Mine was done without that step and there are quite a few bubbles around the center tail light. Not enough for me to want it done over but for those with an A-type personality with their ride, probably will.

Got mine done too and like mentioned above, they just wanted me to wait for 3 days before rolling the windows down fully, which I did. So far so good, no problems what so ever.

They don't use adhesive other than what is already on the film. If they did you would see it. I just had mine done and they are fine. Not rolling down the windows is just a precaution. They squeegee out 99% of the water and the sun burns the rest off quickly.
