Sykart meet Thursday, August 4
 

When: 7:30p August 4th 2016 (8:00 1st race)
Where: Sykart in Tigard (8205 SW Hunziker St)
Cost: $10 per race for Sykart members, $15 per race for non-members
No other fees. Helmets and jumpsuits available for free at Sykart.
($30 optional membership earns one free race plus a free birthday race.

Come early for practice runs. Reminder, if you buy three races, you get a fourth for free.

I'm up in PDX all the time, it's no big deal, but I just realized my car may not be out of timeout by then. Doh!

You know you don't need to have the car to come along. It's more about hanging out with enthusiasts. We rarely take pics in the parking lot anymore lol. You should come on out, with any vehicle necessary (car, truck, bicycle, bus, horse haha) All are welcome.

As long as they have a hitching post outside for Mr. Ed.

I do plan on going up a few times this month to pick up parts, hopefully tint, and the next two racing events... Hopefully, unless I chicken out!

The last few times I went to these, I didn't even race, Its a good group of guys we have. Most of the time we just BS and talk shit to each other, Afterwords. we get drunk and eat wings. Then more BS. Feel free just to come out and hang out.

Just a heads up, they pushed the reservation to 8 instead of 730. They have anther group coming in at 7. But I'm sure they can work out early birds in. Just letting you know. But they are from mor sure planning on us coming in at 8pm.

They really need to stop pushing our spot around, that's like 3+ months in a row now. It's funny because every time we go in, they say they plan on us every month... but this keeps happening.

I went to sykart yesterday for my brothers groomsman party. The new track is sweet. super close to getting a qualifying time. 30.667

They set the bar lower for this layout. I easily knocked out my last qualifying heat after a year of struggling with the previous one.

Oh really? There must of been bad groups there when I was there. Everybody else was averaging 33-34s

It was a fast night. I mean I actually beat everyone on the 9s. Insane right?!

Hmmm... I've only run with you guys so I can't compare. That second heat I didn't run a single tight lap but still got 4 qualifiers. That never happened all last year.

They did mention that they were going to make it a bit harder by extending a part of the track. So nows the best time to qualify for 9's if you haven't done so already.

They are planning on extending the center devider on turn 5 (the first 180 degree turn) which use to be turn 1 on the old track.

I was hoping to find a picture of the current track to make it a bit easier, but i cant seam to find one...

Might try to get down there this week and get a couple of runs in. I hit qualifying times at our meet last week, but I still need another three.
