reputable auto shops around nyc?
 

So this is the first car of mine that i wanted to do any mods to. I never been much in the "car scene." Any tips on how to find a reputable shop to work with? Or any suggestions on one in this area?

Ive asked friends on shops they recommend, some are out of the way. But wanted to hear from others (who might own one of these new cars)

What mods are you looking to do? My friend owns a shop in Staten Island and the work he does to cars is unbelievable!! He does everything from audio to interior / exterior customization to performance mods and I 100% trust him working on my car when I need to get something done. http://www.rpmnyc.com I've heard about this place in Queens. I think we should have a directory list of shops and their locations from all over the tri-state area to help each other out at least to go for whom that won't go DIY. Just a suggestion.

And im not sure what im looking to do, Nothing crazy, ive just been looking at some of the exhausts that has been released so the question popped into my mind, since I never got any performance upgrades done.

Good idea. I need a good shop that specialize in Subaru in New Jersey.

I've also heard about this place called AMR Performance. http://automasteramr.com/ I'm not sure about this place either. However, to include with directory list that we have reviews about the shops. Another thing, what they are specialized in.

Guys, we've been working on subies for 10+ years. We have a ton of connections with Subaru and will always do you right. We don't do any audio or alarm stuff but everything else we have lots of experience with. We've been road racing for 10 years and won't install anything we haven't put through the paces on track.

Thanks. We try extremely hard to satisfy our clients. Sometimes we outsource work we aren't comfortable doing if we know of a place that can do it faster or less expensive or better than we can. We are always up front and honest with our clients and usually come in with a higher estimate than the final price rather than low ball and then ask for more $ later on.
