ECUTEK questions

Hi. So I am curious about the Ecutek Stage 1 tune that is offered by multiple vendors. Basically it is for a stock header car with a air intake or drop in filter.

Basically my question is this kit that they sell, after you program their tune into you car, can you program it back to being stock without having to buy something else? I am figuring to own the whole kit. Cable, dongle, license.

I am wondering if say something goes wrong, can it be sent back to stock?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yes you can always return it back to the stock tune.

with ecutek their is three components

1. A cable/dongle kit if you want to flash your own tunes
2. a licence to flash your ecu
3. A tune

Once the licience is in the ecu it stays their.

If you have cable kit you can flash tune yourself, and flash back to "stock".

The "stock" tune is a stock calibration, but the licience is still embedded in ecu. This can allow a dealer to determine the ecu has been flashed.

EcuTek is goooooood but expensive due to the license fee. But it's a once pay item. I really wish I had have gone EcuTek from the very start but alas, I did not.
Steve is right though, there are 3 components which make it a lot more compared to another tune system such as OFT etc.
I'm running a Delicious Tuning tune with EcuTek though it is for Forced Induction. Absolutely love it!
