BRZ Nav unit, iPod songs shuffle question

The BRZ audio works well with my iPod Nano.

My question is, is there a way to keep the ipod shuffling songs after I turn off my car (meaning when I turn it on the option stays)? Every time I turn the car on, I have to select shuffle and it also does not keep the shuffle order it did.

I know probably I'm asking too much but if anyone knows different....

Pretty sure I noticed this same behavior - settings you set through the head unit don't 'stick' through power on/off cycles. Try setting shuffle 'on' on the ipod with it disconnected from the head unit. When connected, don't change any settings and it should stay shuffle between power cycles.

I hope it's iPod side and I left it on shuffle, because I'm getting sick of having to shut shuffle off every time I want to listen to an album or playlist. So annoying that it won't remember settings. It's an on-going pet peeve of mine how poorly made headunit interfaces are.

Yup. That works. The iPod's shuffle setting overrides the headunit's on ever startup.

Thanks a lot, I will try it later today.

Thank you so much... It worked like a charm. Apparently, when you start the car the setting in the iPod governs over whatever you choose on the Unit. Such an easy fix, why couldn't I think of that?...
