Test Drive & Questions
So I finally got around to test driving an 86 at Cardiff Toyota in Newcastle,
In the following spec Model:GTS Transmission:Auto K's:414 Colour:Sonic Blue The Car I Ordered Model: GTS Transmission:Manual Colour:Pegasus White I wanted to take a few photos but after taking one I couldn't stand it and had to drive :burnrubber: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i1...o402/photo.jpg So now there's a million reviews out there by people whose opinion you may actually care about so I'll be short, The Good -Coming from an EVO i was expecting it to feel, well, gutless. NOT the case, which isn't to say it's up there with the evo but it's just about perfect for the car and if not a litttttllllle underpowered but i think once the engine loosens up it will be great. -Handling was great but was also extremely comfortable which is rare -Driving position was great, Reminds me so much of my old S2000:wub: The Bad/What I Have Questions About -The Sound system was......well average, I'm hoping some new speakers in the front will be enough but im thinking it's gonna need a new amp as well -The touch screen headunit was almost completely unreadable, I drove the car at around 9:30 AM on an overcast day and i could barely see anything, the brightness needed to be adjusted, I had a look through all the settings but could not find any for the screen brightness, Does any one know if this can be changed? -The mat in the boot is pretty ugly and the voice command system sucks but honestly i could care less about these things Summary The car is great, it's so balanced and responsive, it's an absolute blast to drive and for me it's as close to perfect as a car can be for what i want and i think the only thing that needs addressing is the Audio System |

I thought the brightness was adjustable through the instrument light adjuster next to the steering wheel.

Yeah not saying its awesome, just better than the EQ being flat.
I'm thinking about an underseat sub... but haven't looked enough in to how to connect it yet. |
