1195 for brembo brakes and different wheels seems a little low.

I personally think that price is great and should entice lots of buyers
|
Great prices! $25.5k base + $1.2k performance pack and you're good for $26.9k MSRP. Obviously there's destination and tax, but damn, for all the fun stuff here this is an outright bargain.

It's as if they are offering it at cost or something? |
This has me hoping for good things regarding the cost of the OEM Brembo kit as its own entity. I'm sure it'll be more expensive but it would be nice if it wasn't EXORBITANTLY expensive.

Why even call it a package when it's really a trim level (and advertised as such in Japan I think). |
The performance pack is about $800 less than I was expecting. Not bad at all.

Makes sense, the PP is priced almost at their cost. $1195 is the cost of a brand new front big brake kit... |
can i get the Performance Pack on my 2014?

The lack of updates from Toyota on the 86 is frigging annoying. Another conspiracy theory, they're holding off on releasing any info in order to get rid of as many remaining FRSs they can.
|
oh wow i am impressed. so much upgrade and no price hike. $1200 performance package, that is insanely good deal.
|
Will be getting that yellow brz when I'm able to preorder it ;)

Someone find out if we can order the PP for previous years!!
|
Damn, that is a laundry list of really nice additions and fixes. Wish they happened sooner, but proves they're listening.
The nice thing is that the creature comforts, bells, and whistles should drive more sales by casual buyers and hopefully keep sales up. |
You can't order the PP for our old cars, otherwise that sales literature explaining all the beefed up chassis enhancements would be double talk bs.
But I'm sure you can just order the brakes and suspension at the parts counter. |
PP not till early 2017. Why do they delay the release of the good stuff? Seems to be SOP with car manufacturers a lot of the time. Fiat's doing the same with the new 124 - no Abarth version for the first several months.
|
Keep hearing the "early" being in March. Have to think of the PP cars really as 2017.5 models. Hopefully as we get closer to release, that date moves up. I know the WRX lineup received early delivery dates by nearly a month, so maybe there is hope.
|
So does this price release announcement count as official pricing for dealers to submit orders now? Or will we still have to wait for the website to update first?

As of today orders can be submitted to dealers except for the series yellow |
Wow..this is expensive. I mean the Premium is fine. The Limited is getting up there, but the yellow edition....in CDN that's around $38,300!!!

Man, the AT and Yellow prices are so similar, I'm tempted to just suck it up and go Yellow.
For now, gonna let it sit in my mind and see what the 86 is gonna sport. |
Is the 1200 for both the wheels AND brakes? I would honestly only be interested in the brakes :)
|
For those wanting to get the PP on older models--you know the cost for all the parts brand new will be more than $1200, right? The $1200 price is how much more it costs over stock suspension. I wouldn't be surprised if the parts are $3k all together brand new from the dealership, if not more. You can't get a full set of wheels, brembos, and Sachs dampers for $1200.
Edit: and with so many good solutions already available, you're probably better off going aftermarket anyways. |
