2013 BRZ Limited Bazooka Tube Install
Hi Guys,
I have an FA601US head unit in my 2013 BRZ and I was seeing what I need to install a 8" 100w bazooka tube in the trunk of my car. An audio store told me that I need an 8 Gauge wire kit, but do I need a Fast 9999 adapter? Or more specifically the FAST 1761 Toyota adapter? Also I'm pretty sure my headunit doesn't have RCA jacks...so is that what the FAST 1761 adapter is for or is that covered by the 8 Gauge wiring kit? Thanks in advance! Steve |
The Bazooka BTA8100FHC sub with the installation kit comes with their universal Fast-9999 and BTAH installation harnesses. This is all you would need.

Thanks Ricky Bobby! After work I'm gonna tackle this thing.

Wish I offered the guy less for this used bazooka tube...it didn't come with either of those cables so I just ordered a new set online.

I have a pair of DVC 6" Bazookas, a PPI 2050 amp, and a Carver Phantom bass processor that I was tempted to put in the BRZ, but have resisted. I'm afraid of the straps coming loose on the mountain twisties, plus I'm a bit anti weight now. The stuff is a bit old skool, from my minitruck days, but still works.

the car gets overbassed way too easily. I have the stock add on subwoofer, and even turned all the way down on the stock hu there are times it is just too much. Plus it just doesn't seemed tuned well for the car.

I have a feeling that mine will be tuned down also, but I have found that with stock speakers, it is missing some bass. I am by no means a bass head, but I do listen to a fair amount of EDM and rock. It seems flat sometimes and using poweramp with my joying and using the EQ to give it bass it seems to distort and feel muddy.
Also - one last note, coming from a TC that had the built in sub, I miss it sometime on certain songs when I am in the mood for a bass hit. |
