I have absolutely no issue with it. My only regret I is I didn't think of it first. Like a lot of folks here have said the age group doesn't surprise me. My three sons (19, 23, 27) are all playing it.

Personally can't wait for the Assassin's Creed version, now that should be interesting.

Then again, I'm still waiting for the Kinect version to be released....

Don't really know a thing about it, other than it seems like geocaching except there's not even some real garbage and a soggy logbook to sign when you find it... it's all cyber-based..that about it? Oh.. and our local news is covering some robberies, muggings, and attempted rapes using Pokemon Go as a lure.

I tried to get into video games over the years, but just never could. The graphics, programming, and creativity are impressive, although I wish that so much of the industry wasn't geared to humanity's more prurient interests and darker, violent side. Personally, I always felt like I had wasted the hours I spent sitting in front of the computer or console, rather than actually doing something productive, making something, fixing something, or spending time w/ my family. Not condemning others for enjoying video or online games.. I just don't get it.

If it gets you outside and moving around when you wouldn't be, you're not hurting anyone when you're playing the game, and you're aware of your surroundings and your own safety, then that's a good thing. I'm active enough.. I wish I had MORE time in the day.

Enjoy as ye wish...

I pretend those other ones don't exist. It stopped at Pokemon Yellow IMO

For me, I'd say the ones from Crystal are pretty decent.

Fyi there are several puzzle/adventure games that have little to no violence. If you still don't like playing that's fine, just saying. You never hear about those games, just the newest most popular ones(which all include copious amounts of violence)

It was weird walking around last night and seeing so many of my neighbors walking around the park at night.

While I haven't played since the originals came out, I see nothing wrong with those who do. There's a quartet between Global IT Ops and local support who walk around during lunch and find whatever. So long as they're not hurting anyone, more power to them.

I can understand the concerns of those using it for muggings or the fear of someone getting into an accident because a Magikarp happened to be on the road. It already has and will probably continue to happen. On the reverse of that, I'm sure there will be (or have been) stories of people getting more exercise and meeting new friends, or perhaps future husbands/wives. At least the people you meet will have a common interest.

I'm looking forward to VR Assassin's Creed, just to read the injury reports.

Yeah like mugging and raping you jkjkjk. But seriously guys, be careful wandering around with your nose stuck to your phones. It's only a matter of time before someone falls in a river and drowns trying to catch a pokemon

KR-S 07-13-2016 02:34 PM

I've already heard from a news report (that I'm taking with a grain of salt) that someone in Mexico fell off a bridge and died trying to catch a Pokemon.

I think it's common sense not to use your phone at all while driving, not even if there's a Mewtwo on the road. If you want to catch it, at least pull over first.

Oh, and be careful of Lure Modules late at night.

Can you elaborate on "lure modules"?
