My newest car part
New exhaust headers showed up today. Old rear bank header had a clogged catalyst in the precat section just below the pipes. Caused a spun bearing in my motor. :( New headers are Nautilus Performance Shorty headers with an MSDS collector and axle bend and a flex pipe. No cats!!!!! Going to run it like that for a few days with a dumped midpipe until my straight piping arrives. Then I'm cutting the exhaust at the collector and running duals straight back with two Vibrant resonators and a Magnaflow X-pipe before ending with angle cut tips akin to an old Mustang or Camaro. Mazda Muscle. :)

Look sweet! That's sucks that it spun the bearing. Are you planning to do some internal mods (pistons, crank, etc) while fixing the bearing or just keep it OEM? Also if you make it catless isn't gonna pull a CEL? Also hope you don't have white Mazda6 cuz it will make your rear bumper yellow

Alrighty. No I don't have a welder but have access to a good garage. Internals are already built up somewhat. The motor came stock with forged bits, but I upgraded bearings and rods so that this won't happen again. Also using a better oiling system to prevent the issue.
CEL is fine. I'm using an o2 simulator and most of the time, these don't throw the CEL anyway. The PCM on these cars are finicky. Some people throw codes, some don't. lol. She's blue btw. http://cobaltss.net/gallery/files/5/...2_272902_n.jpg |

They CLAIMED when i took it in for service that the plugs were nearly new. Me being dumb assumed the stealership had checked. nope. Unfortunately, I didn't have them saying that in writing so i was fucked when the motor went kaboom. It has 124k miles and I'm pretty sure those were the ORIGINAL plugs. Haha. i only put 5k miles on it since buying it. Its been sitting 6 out of the 8 months I've owned it. :(

Nice, the water pump went out on the soup, so I took the time to upgrade to electrical water pump and electric fans, and some other Lil cooling goodies!
