I was driving down the street in the center lane and I guess I was in someone's blind spot, because they were in a big SUV and pulled onto my car and scratched the rim, fender, and door and left a small dent by the side skirt. It doesn't look too bad compared to other's I've seen but what's ur opinion?

Yup, that's damage and exactly what insurance is for. Hope you got theirs. Did they admit fault?

Glad there were no injuries.

They did admit fault, a cop was called and a police report was filed, within 5-7 days I should get the insurance information from the police, but it's still bothering me. Hopefully it looks good as new when it's repaired.

If it doesn't don't accept it. Most quality body shops can fix almost anything to where no one can tell there was anything done. Make sure to look at it in natural light at as many different angles as possible.

im curious, what was the damage estimate on that?

Packofcrows 07-30-2016 02:44 PM

$2k damage if they dont weld/use diff metal. They will probably pop/buff it out and repaint.

Once its done, look at it in different light, shade and out in open sun so that the paint really matches and looks good or like someone said above, do not accept it.
