10 Series Headlight "Auto" light failure

I have the 10 Series Headlight "swap" on my base FR-S with special connectors which I've purchased from a board member here. I got the adapter which bypasses the repining process.

I've had the headlights and connectors for about 11 months on my 15 FR-S and suddenly today, the "auto" lights (1 click on the stalk) won't turn on. At times it comes on, but 90% of the time it won't. I have no clue with electrical issues, but I'm thinking it's just bad connection somewhere as both left and right side of the headlights can't seem to get the "auto"lights on. My parking lights, low beam and high beam are working just fine; as well as my LED DRL strip. I would guess if it's the connector, just the bad side will fail but since both have failed it probably has something to do with the wires.

Oh, and one more thing. I've had my local shop modify the connector a bit so that the headlights are functioning just like how a normal 10 series would. When I first put on the connector, it voided my "auto" lights, parking light but instead allowed the car to have the DRL LED strip while my low beam is on which was WAY too bright for any traffic condition.

Any possible cause and/or solution?

Thanks in advance.

could your light sensor have gone bad? its the little round thing on the dash on the passenger side

I think I've figured this out...the OWNER's MANUAL duh. Very sorry.

But for a noobie, when your turn the stalk to "auto" (1 click) it only turns on when you have the key turned to "on" right? if you're not exactly trying to use the "auto" function?

Any tips? And please, don't be mean. I found out about when the "auto" lights turns off, but not exactly sure when it turns on. As stated, it only turns when the keys turned to "on"
and/or when the sensor reads your car in a dark spot or place right?

I just checked my BRZ and yes, the auto feature only turns on the headlights and dash when the key is in the ON position when it's dark outside.

Thanks Ryoma. Yea I thought so. The manual states only about when it turns off but I'm glad someone here is nice enough to help a noobie. Appreciate your time. Very relieved that my car is not acting up.
