I like it, its simple and clean

AbductedCasper 07-06-2016 03:03 PM

Looks nice, where'd you get it from?

I love metallic one that 86worx sold...but it's just....so....damn...expensive.

Like it a lot. So much cleaner. The lettering stands out the most. It isn't trying to be 'racer' or 'modern'.

Can you elaborate? Illustrator for layout and printed on vellum? Professionally printed? Ink Jet? Screen printed?

Inquiring minds...

Eh, personally I think the stock cluster looks really clean and is very easy to read..and the Toyota logo pattern adds a little lovable quirkiness. Either way, OP's cluster is indeed clean too, and perhaps looks cleaner than stock since it doesn't include MPH in the speedo.

The horizontal and vertical lines bother me on the fuel/temp guages at the 3/4 and 1/4 marks. I would like a 1/2 mark also. The capital R in x1000 R/min bothers me, I like the stock r/min or just leave it out for the clean look. The 1/1 on the fuel does not match the E for empty. Use F and E or 1/1 and 0/1

It was always intended to borrow from the LFA/IS F instrument cluster, hence the quirkiness. Its an amalgamation of all three clusters basically, drawing unique elements from each as see fit. Some choice are due to printing requirements. Lastly, being an analog dial, there are its limitations.

Are you willing to share who did the printing for you. I know you're interested in offering a GB but thought I'd ask. Your version isn't my cup of tea, partially due to it missing mph but I'm interested to see what's possible.
