Sold Sold - JRZ - RS1 Coilovers, Brand New, $3700.00 Free 2day Shipping in CONUS

For Sale, is a brand new set of JRZ RS1 coilovers. They are custom valved for my chosen spring rate setup of 11k front, 9k rear. These were originally ordered from CSG. I wish i could tell you how well they worked, but since i never installed them I cant share that experience sadly. Okay, Q&A:

1. Why am I selling?
Because CSG Mike has made me an S2000 lover and i just picked one up. I still have the BRZ, but it has to split car funds with the new toy. So I am selling some BRZ parts that i havent had a chance to install to help fund the S2000 project

2. When did you buy these?
The order was placed back in January. However due to the chosen spring rates, the valving had to be custom matched to the springs. I dont believe everything came in till almost May. Since then I have had so many AX events that I never had a chance to put the car up in the air to get work done. I also have an AP Racing Sprint BBK kit, that is lying around. But i am try to see if i can make that work with my S2000, before i sell it.

3. What is the original price?
$4460.00

4. What is your price?
I am asking $3700.00. I believe that is a bargain, also with free shipping.

5. What about shipping?
I will handle the shipping. I am offering free 2day shipping to anywhere
in the continental U.S. Sorry Alaska and Hawaii. I know how to pack professionally. I have great rates with UPS and FEDEX. And I have chosen 2nd day because you dont want your packages in the hands of a courier any longer than necessary. I believe the shipping to be worth almost a $200 value. However I am located in Oklahoma City if anyone prefers local pickup.

6. Payment?
I prefer a wire or cashiers check. I will take a personal check, but i wont ship the items till that check clears and the funds are in my account.

I dont have a Paypal account, however if the buyer prefers Paypal then i can make that happen as well. I just prefer not too, but I can and will accommodate.

Post or PM me with any requests. Thanks for taking a look. I will have more for sale later.

Shameless bump. I have to pretend at least someone is interested in these fine coilovers.

Plus my free shipping, and I ship fast.

Free bump for these gorgeous coils. The want is strong, but my wife would murder me if I spent over $3k on suspension right after buying a used set of KW V3's.

I appreciate the free bump. Its good to see at least someone on the board has some interest. I really think the price is fair, but i am still surprised i have not had any offers....even lowball ones.

I was afraid no one had heard of JRZs. I wish i could just throw them on my S2000.

Still, they are a premium coilover and will likely take a a little time to sell.

Bump for you. Great set of coils at a very reasonable price! Have fun with the s2000 as well, another great drivers car!

Could you explain the decision behind choosing the spring rates? What wheel and tire combination were u to have used? Other suspension mods planned, sway bars, etc? Lastly, what Motorsport events did u seek to run?

Thanks

The decision was made after discussing it with the guys over at CounterSpaceGarage. I was setting my car up for HPDEs at Hallett Raceway and MSR in Cresson TX. These are typically shorter tighter tracks. Although, I do race on a few other tracks, I also do quite a bit of AX with the local Porsche Club. But our AX is different in that you see 70 to 90mph quite often on our local AX venue.

In addition, CSG Mike knows I favor a car with rotation. I believe the BRZ understeers quite a bit, so that is why the chosen spring rate is what it is. It combined with further suspension tweaking was going to give a sharper handling car. We were just getting started in setting this BRZ up, when the wife gave me the okay to move ahead with an S2000. As for other suspension mods, we were going to wait and see how the car handled before buying sways. Beyond that I already had Camber bolts and SPL REAR LCAs, so that I could get some decent negative camber before the coilovers were installed.

I almost went 12k,10k. But Mike, said that since this car is still street driven I should go with the 11k,9k that he recommended.

As of right now I am running 17x9 with 245 square on RE-71s.

Thanks for your response to my questions. I'm not yet into the track side, trying Autocross this year to see if a return to Motorsports is in the cards. I'm on my second BRZ. First one I intended for a STX focus. Spl, swift springs and Whiteline parts along with ace type a 350 header are on the shelf from that plan. Looking to install later this year with the swift spec r. Wished I could pull the trigger on your great buy.

Your combination is what I had in mind, as mostly likely others too.

GLWS.

For AutoX, I would recommend pairing this damper up with a ARE or Strano front sway bar, and perhaps and Eibach rear. If the sway is not enough, the front damper can handle a small change in spring rate.

Also, I happen to have a "new and never used" Eibach rear sway bar that is for sale. If anyone would like it, just PM me an offer.

I will have other items coming up for sale as I accumulated to many BRZ parts. :bonk:

For all intents and purposes, these are sold.
