Front pipe 3k rpm sound??

So I recently had a invidia catless front pipe put in and I've noticed a sound in my car when cruising in gear at around 2.6-3k rpm. The only way I can describe it is like a "bub bub bub bub" sound. I can hear it in my cabin right under my passenger seat. I checked for leaks after installing and all is good. Here are my exhaust specs. UEL borla catless header, stock over pipe, invidia catless resonated front pipe, custom 2.5 single catback, oft stage 2 E85. It doesn't really bug me much but to would be good to know what it is specifically.

Maybe the new front pipe is just letting the sound (rumble) of the UEL header "come through louder" at that rpm range .......:iono:

That doesnt seem to be the problem. I went up to the canyons this Saturday and went a little bit more rough than normal dallying. After we came to a stop my front pipe sounded a but loose when ever i revved it. But after the car cooled down it went back to normal. I was mostly in third gear at around 5-6k rpm.

hmmmm.........well, maybe when your exhaust system gets hot and expands, a part of it is hitting on something ...... and when it cools down, it contracts and doesn't hit on that something.

I would suggest that you look and see where the exhaust system comes close to "a something" and use a small crowbar to bend it away from that some thing.

Back in the day we would use bailing wire to pull exhaust and tail pipes away from those somethings .......... ;)

Might be rubbing against something? I had my exhaust start to rattle in the rear and it sounded like that but a lot more audible.
