Front pipe 3k rpm sound??
So I recently had a invidia catless front pipe put in and I've noticed a sound in my car when cruising in gear at around 2.6-3k rpm. The only way I can describe it is like a "bub bub bub bub" sound. I can hear it in my cabin right under my passenger seat. I checked for leaks after installing and all is good. Here are my exhaust specs. UEL borla catless header, stock over pipe, invidia catless resonated front pipe, custom 2.5 single catback, oft stage 2 E85. It doesn't really bug me much but to would be good to know what it is specifically.

Maybe the new front pipe is just letting the sound (rumble) of the UEL header "come through louder" at that rpm range .......:iono:

I would suggest that you look and see where the exhaust system comes close to "a something" and use a small crowbar to bend it away from that some thing. Back in the day we would use bailing wire to pull exhaust and tail pipes away from those somethings .......... ;) humfrz |
Might be rubbing against something? I had my exhaust start to rattle in the rear and it sounded like that but a lot more audible.
