My Scion is now a Toyota!
 

I bought a 16 Scion FRS in May, and just received the Registration from the State of Arizona along with the License Plate...it is Registered as a Toyota!

Pontiacs are still Pontiacs, Saturns are still Saturns, but Scions are now Toyota's??:confused0068:

My 2013 is registered as a Toyota. My old Scion tC was registered as a Toyota as well. @Cole what about yours??

When I filed for a claim, but was surprised it came back as a 2013 toyota. Guess those emblem swaps are relevant

my old Scion XA was registered as Toyota....my 86 is too. ;)

the scion brand only exists in u.s. and canada. dunno bout canada but in u.s. all scion models have always been registered under "toyota" as the manufacturer/make with "scion [model]" being the model. nothing new

How is this a surprise to anybody? Scion was never anything but a marketing arm of Toyota. Hell, the whole Scion corporate staff consisted of 35 people. Scion never built one car. It doesn't even exist in the rest of the world and all the cars branded Scion here are Toyotas everyplace else. Pontiac actually built cars and Saturns were Saturns not just something rebadged for one market. Scion is not now, nor ever was, a car company just a failed marketing experiment.

I don't know but would suspect that they were always registered as toyotas here. We did not have them here long since Scion only came to Canada in 2011 and only major cities even had actual independent Scion dealers with all the rest sold from a corner of a Toyota dealership. To take it a step further the iA never was a Scion here. They were Yaris sedans right from the start.
