If those numbers they're throwing out are true, then yes, it would, lol.

Just comes down to budget constraints really. But since I'm an all engine tune kinda guy...

Oh reminds me, those numbers they throw out....bigger wheels with stickier tires, possible fender rolling, brake upgrading, yadda yadda yadda:D

How do you get a 95-98 Celica GT4 (ST205)? You're located in the U.S., right? I know you can have one but can you legalize it for street use?

probably the same way people get S15s, R32-34, 99spec Rx7s, DC5 Integra Type R..etc.....and gets them registered in the US.

Research Grey Market. It's complicated, legally, and it isn't free but it's possible.

My plan hmm, probably keep trolling the FT86club forum :bellyroll:. I kid I kid.
I'd probably resort to the flowchart. Which I'm probably going to stick to anyway since the FT-86 is already too expensive at $20k for me.

And the plan is to convert a first gen ZX3 to RWD and put in a newer lil' 1 1/2 liter engine. I thought about the S13 240sx w/ a N/A SR20DE but it would weigh about the same as a first gen ZX3 and 240's are getting pretty rare/expensive to find. Getting a ZX3 roller should be easy to do once I get the funds. ZX3's are a easier car to go with a different brand engine and not get :flame:. So that is my boring plan.

If the FT-86 is a dud, then I'll be joining Wings on his ash pissing escapade.:bellyroll:

And then take the money I would've used for the FT-86, buy a AE86 coupe, and Levin-fy it....

Err, or finish my Hatch....damnit! Too many things to do.

Or get a Mk2 Supra and slap a 1JZ in there....

Or scourer the ends of the states for a clean ST165 All-trac....

See!? You can never go wrong with old skool!

If your Hatchi doesn't work out, I have a freight service that can bring it to sunny southern California! ;)

Not really, those are the Ford V8 conversions :) But the focus is a good platform for a conversion :D. They use the Sierra in the UK to convert Foci to AWD or even RWD.

But dang that was fast Ichitaka!

Oh this AE86 will be with me always, until I die or its literally totaled (not totaled by insurance standards...you could breath on it wrong and they'd say it was totaled, lol)

Heh, if you want a hatchback 86, you should have 0 problems finding one out there in SoCal. Biggest collection of 86's and parts, enthusiasts, etc. is right there. And they'll even sell shit to you, y'know, since they don't have to drive to a FedEx store and ship anything. Or probably because it'll stay in SoCal. I haven't figured out their exact motives for mostly not shipping stuff.....I'm assuming the latter.

What are rare/uncommon parts for the eight-six? I may be making up some aluminum links for the grey turbo-ITB one I posted the pic of in another thread. The 4 link bars and Panhard rod most likely.

Uncracked dash and an unmolested smallport 4A-GE:bellyroll:

Seriously though, there's not really any 'rare' parts that could be supplied by the aftermarket, for obvious reasons. Its really just getting the little things, sensors, small accessories, etc., that you can't find because no local junk yard has them, or Toyota doesn't carry it anymore, or they do but want an astronomical amount for it.

Good example for this were my strut mounts. Auto-parts stores only carry the passenger side nowadays (no driver, weird), but Toyota does, and wanted $300 for it. Pshaw! I was lucky to find someone in SoCal who WOULD ship me factory used mounts. I could've gone aftermarket on some camber plates, but I was dirt poor at the time.

4-links /Panhard are not rare in the least, and are supplied by multiple prominent aftermarket companies, plus some local machinists (TechnoToyTuning for example). The AE86 does have a rather large aftermarket for it.

Honestly the rare parts for us would be JDM only supplied parts. Like the factory sideskirts that never made it state side. Zenki bumper covers are becoming harder to find. Oh! a complete HKS original turbo kit for the 4A-GE, hahahahaha, thats rare!

I'm guessing you were looking to make some dough selling certain parts you can put together?

Rare part to replace oem,Back then me and my friend made a FC3S 4 piston caliper convertion plate that holds the RX7 calipers, you buy the calipers and will even supply the disks only sold 3 pairs.

Before that I was selling my own made to order coilovers, you tell me what you want in them I'll build them for you, like how stiff you want the springs, what kind of struts you want inside, do you want an NCRA or RCA.

We even did a 4agze pipe & intecooler kit for 4agze swaps, so it wont look like this over lapping thing on the valve cover.
