New Head Unit

I'm at a loss. Which head units are you running? Pros/cons?

I'm looking at either the Alpine INE-W960 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00TM...45BMFP9B1T2GC4

Or the Kenwood DNX572BH https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00U7...A36YHT1CK05Z2S
Or, a forum member wants me to buy his 2014 stock unit for $320

Any thoughts on those or others? I need Nav

You are gonna drive the Mods insane moving things to the right spot all the time.

Sigh... Thank you very much. I couldn't decide but I evidently got it wrong.

It was a different question. I'll try harder.

If there is a sub forum appropriate for your question then that is always where you should go.
There are a couple of reasons for this.
First off the tech threads are pretty much hands off for playing so they generally stay focused on the question instead of taking off in 200 directions like General can.
Secondly, you will get better responses since many of the actual subject matter experts don't stray too far from their tech sub of interest. You may get more replies in the General section but you will get better ones in the proper sub for the subject matter.

Thank you for explaining, I appreciate it.

do you need nav on board or will google or apple maps work?
I have to say I'm a pretty big android auto fan right now using google maps for nav, you need an reasonably recent android phone to use.

Im running a pioneer 4100NEX

I've got a Galaxy S7. I've not had any familiarity with Android auto, so I don't know. I do know I really wish I could have in dash Nav, but no idea why. Google maps works better anyway. So in other words, in dash Nav is worth a decent amount to me, just not sure how much.

I'll go check out yours

The 4100 costs as much as the 4200 replacement! Confusing...
