Rear End Collision, Totaled?
 

I was rear ended earlier today by someone who I believe was texting and driving given that their phone was shattered in the accident. Of course they denied that they were texting. I was at a red light and it had just turned green and just as my car began to roll, I immediately got rear ended by a car going about 30 MPH or so. I am wondering if this damage is enough for it to be deemed totaled. There is some quarter panel damage and am unsure if it will make my car totaled or not. This is a 2013 FRS which I bought used December 2015 :/

Depends on the insurance especially on the costs right off the bat right quarter panel, tails lights, new rear bumper for certain.

Awh... it's totaled new 2017 car for you my friend ;)

Yeah if body is bent. Get a 2017 or wrx imo.

Looks to me like 8k damage compared to similar damages imo

That's worst than mines that happened the other day.

I saw the car at the very last second but before I even had time to process what the giant thing taking up my rear view mirror was doing I got hit. My left ear was ringing for a minute or two. Neck was sore for a bit and have a slight bump on the back of my head but other than that I was fine and the other driver just had a slightly cut lip.

We'll see about the new 86, still on the fence about the new front bumper haha plus idk if it will be considered totaled yet.

No matter how you feel still always get checked out after the fact. Well worth the money spent.

time to buy a rear dashcam...a nice high quality camera would have captured what the driver was doing last few seconds before the crash aka texting

Did air bags go off? Air bags are damn expensive to replace.
I'm guessing its totaled by looking at the pix.

Then hopefully someone with some senses will bring this car back to life.

People and there phones.....
My friends brother got hit the same way last week cause the girl was on her phone.

On my way home a few weeks ago I was waiting to make a left turn at a red light...the other cars from the were turning left past me and i'm people watching and i see this one young chick in her early twenties make the turn and immediately at the straight was looking down at her phone in front of her steering wheel...:mad0260:
