Here's an interesting vid on a somewhat old topic

Now this video is kinda long so if you want to skip to what I think is the interesting part, start at about 8:00 in.

"If I was going to go to the race track, I'd definitely put premium in. But just driving around to and fro? Doesn't need it."

Premium gas vs. regular: What's really better for your car? (CBC Marketplace) - YouTube

The difference?

"Premium recommended" versus "premium required"

Guess what we have?

Don't waste your time. Anybody who thinks that video is relevant to our cars is a lost cause already.

Thanks extrashaky too many people beating the dead fuel horse on the forum almost always totally irrelevant to modern cars and our cars specifically

Lol... buys a high price car to worry about fuel price. How could he possibly be saving $10 a fill up. Regular to premium difference for a fill up is like 3 bucks at most

Impureclient 06-27-2016 01:59 AM

I will take the gas station attendant's advice on the video and continue using the "93% clean" gas.

FR-Sky 06-27-2016 03:55 AM

Whatever, I can spend few thousand to mod my car, I dont mind paying few cents more for 91.

Mini Cooper S 06-27-2016 04:40 AM

Cheap gas & cheap suits.

JFunk 06-27-2016 05:32 AM

I use to think if i could ever put the cheaper gas in my car but honestly it's a few cents more and my car will run better and I wouldn't cheap out on something vital for myself so why for my car

I put in 8 gallons every 2 weeks. Comes to about $3.20 more than if I just bought regular :\

Yea, like really. Just make Spaghetti once, portion out a second helping for the next day. You just saved enough on your food bill to pay for premium and then some.

Something important to remember is that our cars make 100hp/liter with very high compression. that is a huge difference to the corvettes 55hp/liter and 10:1 compression
