AC compressor Torque
 

Just did the crawford AOS install and had to remove the AC Compressor. There are 3 bolts and were super tight. I can't seem to locate the torque specs for those 3 bolts that bolt on that ac compressor. Does anyone know? Can't find them in the service manuals either, but maybe im looking for the wrong thing.

Tightening torque=36N·m { 367kgf·cm} {26.6ft·lbf}

OR ...... "wrist tight" with a 3/8" drive socket and ratchet .......:)

but, humfrz, what happened to a "squeak...then a grunt"!??!

Welp, the squeak/grunt only works on lug nuts ..... ;)

If you do squeak/grunt on A/C compressor bolts/nuts ....... it will be followed by .......... ahhhhh-shit ...... :mad0260:

Thanks man idk where u found it lol but THANK YOU. the loctite threw me off i guess. Thought they required alot more torque than 26
