18x8.75 For daily.

Im thinking about buying these. First off, would these fit on my Stock height Subaru BRZ without issues? Im going to use these for daily driving. Would it help/make worse my mileage/acceleration? Im mostly looking for a aestetically pleasing wheel but will help improve mileage/speed. Are these too big? Should I go smaller for daily driving? I don't track. |
The wider the worse the gas mileage. But you'll have more grip in corners and during acceleration.
I drive with 9,5rear and 8,5 front. My gas mileage went from 8-8,5l/100km to about 9-9,5 (sorry for the unit) it's not a terrible increase. But it's there non the less. Normally 8,75 shouldn't give any fitment problems if I'm correct. Maybe you could also check the wheel directory on this forum for more info. Verstuurd vanaf mijn A0001 met Tapatalk |
Im Canadian so I use the same units.
That's odd, Im getting 9.9L/100km right now. AT transmission. I must be doing something wrong... Would the wheels I linked even be able to fit on my car? Size/bolts wise. Im not too educated on wheels. Also anybody know if the wheels are any good? Oh and, these should help with my acceleration? |
Yea twins are also 5x100 and Et 35 will fit perfect flush in the front. But the rear will be slightly to much inwards. But only about 5-10mm so it won't show that much.
BTW I drive an mt and do quite allot of highway driving. I'm also not accelerating like crazy on every light. If I go for a fun ride I average about 11l/100km Verstuurd vanaf mijn A0001 met Tapatalk |

Oh that makes sense. Im usually driving locally and not highway. |
The Et value is how much the wheel moves outwards. The higher the Et the more it moves out.
Like I said. Check the wheel directory. You'll learn allot. It's pinned up at the top in the wheels and tires group/folder or whatever you call it. Verstuurd vanaf mijn A0001 met Tapatalk |

Too big? It's not in terms of spec. It will look like shit with stock suspension without camber adjustment. Even with camber it will look weird. Acceleration and mileage will be worse. If you want better mileage, get some Prius wheels. -alex |
Thanks for the replies fam.
Im looking for other options now, something that will hopefully look better on stock height. |
Not much will look real good on stock height.

Check the wheel directory for what different wheels will look like.
This thread has multiple pictures of the wheels you're interested in on a car with stock suspension: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15163 |

Rule: Don't go 18" unless you also lower.
