Up graded fuel pump(maybe?)
 
Hello everyone,

I was able to get my hands on a brand new 06 STI oem fuel pump. Just wondering if this pump would be an upgrade to my oem fuel pump?Obviously I would get a tune for it(if it can be swapped), but just wondering because it was free.

You don't need a tune for a fuel pump swap. There is a regulator in the tank to regulate the fuel pressure. The stock fuel system has enough fuel for 10+PSI on E85. So even if the pump was slightly better the marginal increase of flow wouldn't be worth the effort. I don't remember what the STI pumps flow off the top of my head but it isn't going to be that much better than the stock one... a DW65C is going to flow more.

Also unless you are running a low compression engine with high boost, or boost with E85 increasing fuel flow will give you absolutely no benefit.
