My first performance upgrade, do i need a tune?

Got my 2015 brz last fall. Finally summer is here and got my first performance upgrade. Installed a brandnew aftermarket headers and exhaust catback. Is there a need for a tune after the upgrade? If so, what kind of tune? Need some advice.ty!

Hi R3b00T, congratulations on your first performance upgrade.

What kind/brand of header ...... catted or catless .. ??

As I understand it, a tune would allow your engine to make more power from your exhaust modifications.

Others will be along shortly, to offer some suggestions for a type of tune.

yeah, there is the OFT or Ecutek for tunes.

Both have their pro's and cons, but there are many users for both.

I have personally used both, and had fantastic results with both tuning systems.

Since you have a header now, it is quite important to have a tune. Without it, you'll throw a CEL (check engine light) because the car will think the catalytic converter isn't working.

A tune will give you more power, better economy and peace of mind knowing your engine is running the way it should.

Use Torque and a bluetooth OBD2 port reader

He said it was catted. Should probably tune anyways though
