Anything going on with 86/brz platform?

Been gone since the release since late 2012. Anything new going on with the 86/brz platform? Was thinking selling both my cars to pick up a Evo X FE, but may pick up a 86/brz instead and keep one of my beater car.

Thre is way more than can be described. Start at the top of the general forum and start working your way down. You shall see.

If you are looking at buying, you should definitely be aware that the 2017 MY will debut the mid-cycle refresh with some supposedly significant improvements (although more power is not one of them).

I hate to say it but Evo X FE vs the Twin.. different cars. If you can get into an Evo X FE you should as they will be sought after in a few years and get a 2012 Twin as DD as I'm sure the prices have dropped considerable amount.

The Evo X FE would be pretty sweet, but.. meh.

There is something captivating about Evos. Engineering for the rally stages. Captivating like the old Scoobies, Integrales and other group A fodder.

I'd buy an evo since they not being made no more then a twin.

i definitely agree here, but the body styles just aren't as pleasing as a twin (to me). too close to other compact cars like corollas and civics.

I agree with you but don't tell me that when you do spot the occasional rally refugee that you are enjoying the fact that only you are enjoying the car for what it is. I always get really excited when I see an Integrale!

I think they are great cars, too. I just prefer the Evo 8 haha. But since it's going to be a rare car, it would probably be a better value than a new Twin.

Welcome back, Vr4gasmtt from wherever you were .........

I have a 2013 FR-S and have watched the evolution of the platform over the past few years. In my opinion, they haven't made any changes that would tempt me to trade in my 2013 for a new one.

The engine and power train are about the same. Some minor tweaks to the suspension; different colors; a few "special editions" with some flashy do-dads; that's about it.

I suspect it stems from his early childhood ....... his parents just sat him up in a high chair, half opened the cap on a jar of Gerbers and left a pop cycle stick beside it ......... left him to figure it out for himself ...... :)
