Issue: Cruise Control no bump up or down

Stock FR-S. No mods. Used to work. Out of warranty.

Now, I can set the cruise at a given speed.
Going uphill it will bump up 1mph and then stay there rather than coming back down to what I set it at.

Bumping the + or - doesn't do anything anymore. Used to go up or down 1mph like it's supposed to do in the manual.
If I hold the lever it will move, but I often pass by the 1mph I wanted.

Any ideas how I can get it working again? Lint in the framistat? PB Blaster all over under the dash?
Has this been heard of before?

Ok. Take it to the dealer and hand over lots of cash that's in short supply I suppose.

Unplug battery for 10min or so. Replug in. Try it at different speeds. See if there's a difference.

Somewhere in another thread it says cruise control wont work if theres something wrong with your car.

Cruise works in a basic fashion. No CELs or codes that I'm aware of.
It won't increment up or down.

I've got a post cam fix twin.

Page 109 clearly shows the wiring of the cruise control main switch. Since there's only two wires, I'm guessing there is a specific amount of voltage drop or signals that tell the car of each setting for cruise purposes.

My guess at this point is a malfunctioning cruise control main switch, assuming the ECU is properly flashed with no CEL. CEL will actually result in the cruise light on the dash being constant yellow instead of green.

Short story.
My buddy is a mechanic. He says he sprays a few squirts of Electrical switch cleaner into the ignition, or any switch that is having problems. 90%of the time, he says it fixes it. I have used it on the ignition of an old civic I had. it worked. I have not needed it on the FR-S yet.

I'd choose the brand you trust. I have some CRC.
