Tool Missing in Trunk?

Hey guys,

I lost my 12 mm tool wrench somewhere in my trunk.
I'm thinking it slipped between the gaps .. somehow?

What happened:

I drove off and some light metallic rattling and some kind of scraping on the floor.
Then it sounded like it fell and the sound stopped.
I checked the floor outside and I did not see my tool .. I'm trying to figure out where it went .. but I'm at a loss .. I removed the trunk carpet and checked where the spare tire is and I did not see anything.

Has anybody experienced anything like this and know where it may have fallen?

You Sir may have won the most unusual problem award for 2016!
It must be in there someplace.
Did you fold the seats forward and check between them and the trunk? Grasping at straws but don't know where else it could have gone.

The refrigerator?

And isn't everything you're looking for always in the last place you look?

Pretty sure haven't had time to check. Maybe OP can try it first and let us know.

That's because: once you find something you were looking for you stop looking!

The stranger thing is: I often find something I had been searching for AFTER I quit looking for it.....
