Handsfree voice prompt
 

I have a 2013 BRZ. Just yesterday, the voice prompt on Handsfree stopped working. It used to be, you pressed the Handsfree button and it said something like "Enter Handsfree Command" and then at each step it would talk to me. I use it only for phone calls.

Now, just silence. The handsfree system still works and understands my voice, I just get no audible feedback. (Yes, the volume is turned up!)

So, is this some setting I messed up or is it likely a hardware failure? I do not recall tinkering with any settings, but you never know.

As I said, I use it for phone calls and now I have to watch the screen instead of watching the road. Danger Will Robinson.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Did you anger it in some way? Not listen to what it was telling you? Defend your decision? Get seen talking to another hands free device?
Maybe some flowers and chocolates will get it talking to you again.
