Beastronix - 86 Nanny , Speed Academy version

I recently ordered an 86Nanny from Beastronix. So far I love this thing, despite the fact that is virtually seamless. Meaning you start to take it for granted, but it works as advertised.

I purchased the Speed Academy version of the 86Nanny. This means that when you start your car, it is automatically in pedal dance mode. So, all nannies are turned off with the exception of ABS (though that is an option thru Beastronix) and another nice feature is the TPMS sensor is disabled and not flashing. It works great and seamless. The install is quite easy, and the only part that could (and did in my case) cause confusion, is that you could place the fuse backwards. Beastronix is aware that the picture shown is in direct conflict with the written instructions. The picture shows the fuse turned 180 degrees the wrong way, so i did as i saw. The unit will not power on if this happens and have no effect on the car. So no harm if you do. Other than that little issue though, all went well, the rest of the install is pretty straight forward and just about anyone can do it. The only part you should take your time and be careful on is when you are drilling a hole for the reset button. But it is a common sense install. It could be done in as little as 5 or 10 minutes, most people about 25 to 30mins. And, I can;t see anyone taking more than an hour.

Now, since i had the fuse in backwards ( in my defense i was on oxycodone since i was fighting kidney stones) this gave me the chance to see how well the customer service was with Beastronix. Well i sent an email to them on a Sunday, late in the morning. I had a response in about 10 minutes. We proceeded to trade a few more emails, and the help was spot on and everything worked as it should. So from my experience both the product and
service from Beastronix get an "A" from me. Its a little pricey i suppose, but i wouldnt go back after using it. It is money well spent to me.

Its always nice when you find a company and product you are happy with.

Thank you Beastronix.

I got mine from him at Summit Point at 86 expo where I ate almost all the baked cookies. Just that weekend I realize how annoying it is to be in an incline and not being able to do the pedal dance because I parked too close to the car in front of me.
Great product and built like a tank. Now I need to send it back to get the Speed Academy software upgrade.
What ever happened to the Raceseng/Beastronix product?

Those cookies will make a comeback one day! The Raceseng plans got shifted because it happened to be right when they were moving to a new facility. It was a custom build 86Nanny that Beastronix & Raceseng planned for the Raceseng test vehicle. We did a very high quality machined knob & rotary switch for them and they plan on building a custom center plaque to match.

They were able to get the 86Nanny installed in time for their track testing, but due to the facility move and business picking up they had to put the plaque build on hold. Everything they create is amazing, so one day I'm sure we will see a work of art.
