The shark fin just sort of fits over the OEM base ..... so, no chance of leaking.

OBTW, your car looks good!

really not that big of a deal. just pay a little attention to it.

i washed the car, removed the old antenna, quick detailed the entire roof, then installed the new antenna. zero issues so far.

but i also ordered the oem sharkfin as new from a dealer, so it's possible there could be some quality issues with either a used, or aftermarket component.

and while you're up there, i recommend a third brake light relocation as well!

No waaaay man, I say keep the original antenna. Shark fin is popular across a lot of makes and models but how many have an RC car antenna??😂👍🏽👍🏽

Be careful of that yellow wash and wax. IMO seemed to deteriorate my black plastic vents on the side. I prefer Meguiar's Deep Crystal or Gold Class now.

And leave the RC car antenna!

Just use some trim renewal on those plastics to rehydrate them no? I'm using the meguiars gold class wax. Usually use the rain x wash and wax but meguiars seemed to be just as good.
