Just got my car back from getting Opticoated - St Louis
 

Hey guys, i just got my FRS opticoated and got it back from the detailer.

I went with Shine Time Detail in St Louis, I was having trouble finding detailers in the area that did it, and when i did a search for Opticoat St Louis the first thing i pulled up was a forum post where i saw his detail in applying opticoat to a 370z. He did the trim, wheels, wheel wells, under the hood, all over the entire car! I was pretty impressed then i went to his site and realized he was the guy who had detailed the Corvette David Freese got for being MVP at the World Series last year!

So I dropped my car off with him and he worked on it for me in the crazy heat we have been having here, and I am nothing but impressed. He also fabric protected my interior as well as applied a Meguiar dressing to the interior vinyl pieces to make them really pop. I even asked him to take off the FRS on the back for me. :party0030:

Just wanted to drop in my recommendations on the forum if anyone here in St Louis is looking for someone to do opticoat to their car. Hell even if you want a detail!

On a hilarious note, I sat out talking to him for a bit, and no joke, 2 birds crapped on my car during that time...maybe this car really is a magnet! :bonk:

Girlfriend had her FRS done at the dealer out in St' Charles (Pappas Toyota)

And yes:( "Crazy heat" going on here, we are going to get hers cleaned now...

how much did you pay for the opticoat? and how long did it take?

It was a complete package deal rolled into the loan of the car.
She paid around 700$ for the outside, and they also did a treatment of fabric protector on the inside, and did the windows with some rain X on steroids stuff.
Package also included lifetime dent and windshield repair.
The FRS was dropped of in the morning and picked up at noon, so I am not sure how long it actually takes to apply it.

We just got back from a self serve car wash and I got to say water and dirt fell off the vehicle, we had some rain 2 days ago and the car was muddy on the sides.

Mine was 400, like i said he took the time to do EVERYTHING in opticoat! so I was expecting around that much at the end of the day. :)
