overcome stock maf limit with impreza MAF sensor
5 Attachment(s)
I'm using HKS v2 supercharger, and almost capped stock maf now. (4.9v 280g/s at 65ºF IAT )
in my country , no one can handle SD method for FRS, so I should find another easy way to use more boost. We can use impreza (forester ) stock maf sensor to our car without any modification. part number is 22680AA380 same dimension, same harness but much higher maf reading limit ( about 130%) so we can use more boost without Speed density method. Stock MAF sensor log datazap http://www.datazap.me/u/yobiwan/hks-...3&zoom=647-833 Impreza MAF sensor log datazap http://www.datazap.me/u/yobiwan/wrx-...3&zoom=368-688 both log are from same car, same boost. you can see Maf voltage difference between them. 4.84v vs 4.44v on same boost , same RPM ,different IAT (77 ºFvs 91ºF) it's first log with impreza maf scale, so afr is not on target. but it's close enough to use. cranking and closed loop driving were smooth too. log after 1st open loop maf recalibration http://www.datazap.me/u/yobiwan/wrx-...3&zoom=426-648 |
Hi,
If you need a tune for speed density I am sure we can accommodate. We now have over 1000 tunes across the world, with more than 500 of those running speed density. So if you need any assistance, just let us know. Cheers, William Knose Delicious Tuning |
Would this do any good for frs Brz without turbo charger? Any error code thrown?

if you want to use WRX's MAF sensor, you should change MAF scale table in your ROM too. I'll upload my maf scale ( after 1st open loop rescale) here. |

Debating doing this for my 10.0:1 built FA. Not sure if its worth doing. I know it will be a hybrid tune as boost will be north of 22psi. Would the better resolution of the WRX MAF help the low speed driveability?
