Another Body Shop Recommendation Thread

Guys,

I'm moving to Woodbridge, VA in 2 weeks and will likely need some body repairs done once I get there. Long story short, my car fought a trash truck and lost so I'll need a new hood, bumper, rt fender and headlight. I'm considering aftermarket hoods and bumpers if possible. My insurance company gave me a few options in the area and I thought I'd see if anyone one here can either say yes or no to these shops:

PROFESSIONAL SERVCIE KING 306 WOODBRIDGE
14132 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY
WOODBRIDGE

POHANKA CALIBER DUMFRIES
17884 FRALEY BLVD

RAMS AUTO BODY

CALIBER COLLISION SPRINGFIELD

Second this. Had some minor scratches repaired on hood and front bumper, and they did great work.

I went through my insurance but wouldn't recommend them if you're not. I got a quote for out of pocket cost and they tried to charge me almost double what the insurance ended up paying.

Thanks, I'll definitely check them out! I'll need to make sure they're on my insurance companies approved list.

no such thing as an approved list. you can go anywhere you choose. the shop has the option of not accepting the job though if insurance isn't willing to pay their rate, or the shop doesn't want to work with them on the claim

Champion Body Works
7908 Hill Park Ct, Lorton, VA 22079

Had my Lexus done through them, Charles does great in follow up and updates, they do a lifetime guarantee with All State on their paint work against fading, cracking, etc.

True. What I meant to say was the approved shops that my insurance company will guarantee the work for the life of the car (at least while I own it).

Having said that, since I'm not able to get the work completed prior to my move, insurance is just cutting me a check for the estimate so I can take it wherever I want, and/or buy the parts myself. So I may look around for a part-out for stock bumpers and fenders.
