Royal purple tran oil review

I just changed my stock oil to 75w90 royal purple at 9k miles. I chose royal purple bc of a friend who has a manual car that uses purple and likes it, and well, laziness. I couldnt find motul 300 (i didnt look hard) in town, i was in a bit of a rush as it is my daily driver.

So far i have noticed an immediate difference. It is way smoother and feels like new again, so far. I spent the last few months learning how to drive stick so i put plenty of ware on the car. I needed a reset.

@Astroboy Looks like someone else had good results on this oil. :)

yea well, my experience is kind of a mixed bag. i think it is too early for a definitive yes or no on if I i would recommend it. for the first week shifting on startup was nearly impossible. second gear was almost impossible to get into when the car wasn't hot. although, when the car was really hot, so after like 10-20 mins of straight driving, everything was as smooth as butter, definitely an improvement over stock oil.
after a few weeks, shifting on startup is a little stiff but feels better than stock oil lol. when the car is nice and hot everything is smooth as butter still.
One weird thing though: I think it is cutting my MPG. i feel like i was getting better MPG with stock oil. this is hard to test because i didn't really mark anything when i had my stock oil. although i cant test it, i still think it has killed my mpg which really, really sucks.
TL;DR shifting was rough but now is smooooth, but I think it has killed my MPG.
