Sorry if I missed it, but was there a confirmation on the tires that are supplied with the performance package?

If you look at the pics, it does show Michelin tires... I think, that answer your question

They still use freaking Primacy HP. Shouldn't they have something a little stickier?

Pics do show the same size 215/45-17, I will then assume there will be no tire change with the performance package.

Question is why they need to put stickier tires?

You assume correctly... Unless they change it last min

The toyota 86 prototype had Turunza (Camry tires) I guess that's stickier lol... Maybe

I guess not. I was hoping for more general information release like 2017 pricing and such too.

From what I recall, yes. The 12th.

Because with all the brake power it has, it wouldn't help you or me or any fanbois or pro driver stop if the tires aren't good enough. Moto-san also talked about refinement. Primacy HP isn't as refined as some other Summer tires.

Brake power? To have brake power, car need to have proper brake pads & rotors... Which stock doesn't come with.

& yes, even w those brembos, doesn't have much brake power

Tbh Dark the car that we saw today and I've confirmed this with some evidence from observation. This prototype was a series blue, with some changes bits. For example we found blue floormats inside, the VIN was scratched off and finally the dash said 350 miles but the tires looked like it's been driven a couple thousand miles. So from that deduction I wouldn't confirm anything until you see a press release spec that says the exact tire. Again the Toyota had a different tired Turunza and not the michelins.

What are your thoughts on that small gap between the spoiler and trunk? Usually wings that are off the body are higher up.

Yeah. At first glance I really liked the previous spoiler. For this one first glance it was somewhat questionable but it may look much better once I get to see it irl.
