Maybe for some of you it is perfect, but many old timers Subarists were laughing after driving it for first time. We don't have any official report of other changes that they transformed the new base car. If they did it, why not offer a test drive event? Let the GT86/BRZ owners drive the new car and see the difference! Additionally, don't forget that in Subaru terms it is a second model within the same platform. The actual (mild) refresh was back in the 2015 model. This is what Subaru is doing till now.

It doesn't matter what you want or I want, large, significant changes won't happen until a new generation.
In the mean time, people have been scooping up these limit editions regardless on what they do or do not offer.
Also, the 2015 model was not a refresh by any standards.
If you bought this car expecting something else, you did a poor job researching a large purchase. This car was never, ever advertised to be a fast car, but that's what "many" people want. Buy something else if you want a fast from factory car, or wait to see what they offer in a second generation.
*assuming quickness is an imperfection you were referring to*.
The car still has tremendous potential. That idea hasn't changed at all.
