Also i am still brand new to the forum life. is the proper way to reply via "quote"? i keep replying to everyone via "reply"..

When you quote the person gets a notification + the original message is quoted for all time and the OP cannot edit the quote.

The reply button looks like it just makes a normal post, like if you typed in the big box at the bottom and hit the post button.

My gramps used to have a 2014 vette before he died and i remember how incredible it was the few times i was in the car feeling my butt tingle as that ridiculous torque and power ripped me forward. In Disney World when i ride the rockin rollercoaster... that initial start of the ride going 0-60 in 2.7 seconds (something among that time) is just the coolest thing to me. So at the end of the day, i want to feel a similar feeling but STRANGELY enough, i like 4 cylinder cars, imports, and this car in particular very much. i dont really find a 370Z as interesting and rewarding as i would in a smaller car that can still have the same output. Hopefully this didnt make you lose some brain cells haha

There is no "stupid" reason to want more. There are however many, many factors to consider in the way to get it and how much is needed.
No matter how much money you throw at the car you will not make it a 'Vette nor get a 2.7 second 0 to 60.
To get to 400 takes way more than just slapping a turbo on it and calling it a day. You need to make all the other upgrades to support that much power since these cars are not designed for it. Can it be done? Certainly if you throw enough time and money at it you can have a 400hp car but I bet you can get a good butt tingle by some much more basic changes.

This car will never have that torque feeling from the vette unless you get and LS1, nor will it do 0-60 in 2.7 seconds.

At that point, Last Gen Z06 is a better buy.

Well it is the Subaru side of the forum after all!

The Japanese makers in the past must have judged that 276 to 320hp was a good cap for cars without computer nannies to be still quite livable and marginally safe as a daily driver in populated areas.

Yeah and that is where i still need to decide whether i can be happy with a great performing car that doesn't zoom off or if i should carefully consider a more powerful one to feed my hunger. I appreciate all the advice!

me too. I'm also considering the MX-5 RF in addition to the '17 BRZ and 124 Abarth.

The turbo'd 124 Abarth's quad pipes and available Mopar-tuned exhaust kit and blow-off valve has been described by several reviewers as the best sounding 4-cyl in the world. "Raspy and perfect, and the Mopar version sounds like it’s inhabited by some minor fire-breathing demon". "this is the baby-making music of the gods. Blow-off valve included." That got my attention and probably makes that car my leading prospect... (unless my 6'2" frame doesn't fit good in it).

Hopefully it isn't like the SRT-4 BOV plate, lol.

I guess it isn't irony anymore. I'm also waiting for RF. Good thing about Mazda is, if you're a SCCA member, you can get their car at invoice.

Check the advice of this guy:

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xifVc0mM0Y0"]MAMA Event | 2015 Subaru BRZ Series Blue Track Review | Part 5 - YouTube[/ame]

He had a BRZ for some years and gained a lot of experience with modifications. The review is related with the 2015 BRZ Series.Blue edition. At least Series.Yellow is now in a better position without the painted calipers :)

I've seen videos of this dude driving and is it me or he's so stiff with his hands and feet movements like he really needs to pickup a pack of Robaxacet Extra Strength.
