So I really like the series yellow, but I really wonder where they will price it. I can't see myself paying much more than what the limited + performance pack costs. It doesn't have anything new, it's just yellower.

The more I look at the interior photos the more I’m not liking the brushed silver bits. Especially the door hand holds. Perhaps a nice carbon fibre with yellow Kevlar threads in the weave.

Speaking of which, I’m thinking those yellow inserts on the doors will get dirty in a hurry. Same goes for the embroidered BRZ in the seat backs. I know how bad the pink STi logos in my seat backs look. As the cars are not built yet, (probably not even finalized for production) I’d suggest they rethink the location and material of some of these yellow accent bits/logos.

No. Primacy HP is way more expensive than more "refined and performance-oriented" tires.

Toyota probably has a ton of them unused since nobody buy a Prius's performance package.

If it's a left over from Prius performance tires, my statement still hold true. Why bother contract off to other tires when they still need to finish off the contract off the Prius tires. So why Toyota/Subaru put different tires to raise the price when owners will upgrade to their own fav tires, right after they buy it.

...but tbh I highly doubt they wanted to use up Prius tires. They put so much effort into making this car. Hell, they put more effort into 86/BRZ mirrors than LFA! I highly doubt they just say "Screw tires. Well use Prius tires". & one of the interview, Tada-san explain the reason for putting that tires as well.

This worries me. I am planning on purchasing a new BRZ but if in another year or two an actual STI model could be released or second generation (whatever you wanna call it), i will be kicking myself if i purchase a 2017 in March and then 2 years or so later the new gen comes out and kicks this one's ass. i love this car and what it has to offer but essentially id like a bit more power. UGH, this makes things sticky

Also need to consider logistics, I don't know where the Primacy HP OEM tire is made but most likely quite cost effective for them to get in high volume.

A lot of these aftermarket Michelin Pilot Sport tires are Made in USA right? We are just spoiled in North America by the lower price.

Like I have said many a time they are not "Prius" tires anyway. They are just tires that happen to be used on some Priuses. They are also used on some Lexuses and other high end cars but nobody calls them "Lexus" tires.

It has always been my observation that when it comes to car guys it doesn't matter what tires come on a car they call them crap. If these came with the Pilot SS tires that so many here love then the same people would probably be saying "Oh dude try the Primacy tires they are so much better".

If i waited when i bought my BRZ in 2013, i'd still be waiting now. buy the 2017, trade it in for an upgrade if it happens and it's worthit.

My biggest question which i cannot seem to get a reliable answer on is this... If you are like me and WANT a beautiful, sporty car that you CAN modify, is this a car to consider? i like everything about the car except the power, so supercharer screams to me... but i see so many people say that it is a terrible idea. i just want some clarity ya know? i dont care to go buy a 370Z, i like the BRZ for it's look. so why can't i take the best looking car and give it the power i desire? my goal is to reach 400HP. someone please tell me i am not crazy and i can make my goals reality.

Most OEM tires have different spec from retail ones. Some triple thread compound tires are only made to be dual thread compound specifically for OEM. That means they are harder, noisier, and wear out worse (Not sure if they wear out faster). Yes, we can say OEM tires are cheap.

GM small block V8 is the way to go. Not trying to discount force induced engine, but they are not as reliable. It also has so much headroom for more power and instant feel of NA engine.
