OFT dead pedal after code clear
Just so anyone who is reading this knows, if you unplug the open flash tablet as it's still communicating to the car or the connection is not good (it's not plugged all the way in) then you will throw a check engine light.
This happened to me 6 days ago and immediately after I cleared the code I was experiencing deadened throttle response. Just like after a reflash. Fast forward 6 days to right now and my throttle still feels dead. I didn't think clearing a code would reset the throttle like a reflash does. I'm not really sure if that's even a thing or not. Just curious if anyone else has more knowledge on this? I did some digging and I couldn't find anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

You can reset all of them by jist removing a battery terminal for a couple of minutes and press brake to bleed off any redisual "power" in system. This will obviously reset engine control unit and you will get the dead pedal for a few drive cycles. Resetting some dtc with obd devices will also cause a reset of ecu in some cases. If the code caused ecu to go into limp mode i belive an ecu reset always occurrs to bring the ecu out of limp mode. If your deap pedal is persistent beyond a few drive cycles then you likely have other issues. Suggest you log and check for excessive knock iam is 1 afr is following commanded afr, ltft are low ect. |
