Toyota 86 Series - Australia

Some enjoyable viewing courtesy of Jalopnik and those wacky Aussies!
Some fun dialogue from the commentators and one of the drivers (in-car interview)

So funny man great video. How does nascar work? Why are they not lined up side by side, because I am assuming the driver's time and start point is to each individual driver their own time and finish point.

I have absolutely no idea.... Doesn't NASCAR start with rolling starts in similar setups?

For a start though, there isn't enough room for every car to be lined up side by side (there are 30+ cars in this race). I believe they use things like qualification times, etc. to determine who is placed where on the grid. The Best Motoring guys use the power levels of the cars to determine where to put them, but in this case, I imagine everyone has the same power.

You are gridded based on your qualifying times. That's all there is to it.
