Did that really just happen?

So im driving home from a long as project from work which had me just about to tear my hair out. Luckily I got it all taken care of so I got my happy ass out of there and ventured forth towards the highway aka dallas destruction derby championship finals. Now I dont know about you guys, but until I start having my own track and slalom days I dont race cars. I may drive fast but I dont race them. Sometimes I'll speed up to catch a nice car or follow a faster driver, but I by no means race. Racing is to the track just as sex is to the bedroom... most of the time (Depending on age, circumstances vary). With that being said, Im heading down the highway after sitting in some not so bad traffic doing around 75-80. Im just cruising along and all of a sudden I look up and I got some asshole really riding my car and behind him was another asshole riding his car (Company van mind you). Now in texas this is all too common, especially with truck drivers. But only truck drivers. Everyone else gets a friendly brake check followed by a nice laughter and thumbs up as they drive by yelling inaudible slurs:wub: (Gets em everytime:popcorn:)

Anyways, so I see this guy and thinking to myself holy shit if I hit some traffic up the road and I so much as even graze my brakes I'll be claiming insurance:cry:. All of a sudden he veers off to the right of my car in the rear view( im in the far left lane) but a truck is moseying (Ive never had to spell that word before... had to google it:slap:) about so he swerves BACK into my lane even closer! Thought for sure he was gonna clip my car. I speed up just a little more so I can get over to the right and he can pass me. I get over doing about 75 and this Caucasian "Bro" pulls up next to the left of me in some 90's infiniti wearing oakley shades and his hat backwards lmao. It looked like he mouthed the words "come on" and he takes off hahaha! I couldnt stop laughing, he was leaning over to the right like he drives standard when clearly it was an auto. I follow him a bit just to see if he was serious lol (still doing 75) Pull up to the left of him and laugh and he just mouthed the words "no" and exited the highway along with the company van right behind him lol:thumbdown:

I didnt get it, I was speechless. The remainder of the ride home I was seriously talking to myself asking if that really happened. I'm driving a damn corolla I get mileage not horsies:lol:

So thats my story. TLDR? See sig. Ikr. Idc. Csb.

Short version: Ricing... it strokes the ego.

Reminds me of when I was in a rental Sunfire a few years ago. It was late at night and I was heading back to my apartment when I stopped at a red light. No one else was on the road save me and this yellow BMW M3 that had just pulled up beside me. Dude revs his engine, trying to goad me into a race. I just look at him all puzzled and shake my head. The light hadn't even turned green yet and he floored it, pulling away with an obnoxious amount of noise.
Does your d-bag ego really need that big of a boost that you have to try to race your pimped out E30 against a crappy rental Sunfire? This kind of mentality still confuses me.

No offense but I'm pretty sure I see where the problem is here. Unless you are in the act of passing or there is nobody behind you, you shouldn't be just cruising in the far left lane.

I wouldnt really consider it cruising when doing speeds of 75-80:iono: none the less this still doesnt justify this guys childish behavior.

so what you're really trying to say, is that you only have sex in your bedroom?

kinda boring yo.

I was just quoting you. From what I can see his "childish behavior" sounds more like justifiable anger. I don't think he was trying to race, he was just mad that you were blocking the left lane. Regardless of how fast you may be going, right or wrong, there will always be someone who wants to go faster. The left lane is the passing lane and people that just stay over there and don't pay attention to traffic behind them piss me off. You do that shit on the autobahn and you go to jail. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. Unfortunately the cops here in the states only really care about speed traps anymore and the minor stuff just gets ignored, by them and now almost every driver on the road. I pride myself in being a damn good driver and following the rules of the road as well as humanly possible, but the amount of people who treat the road as if they own it and have no regard for their fellow drivers is disheartening at best. /rant

I am right there with you. I've noticed a guy I work with gets over in the left lane as soon as he gets on the highway and just stays there, like he owns the road...I hate people like that.
