Header heat cycling and retighten.

Title says it all.

I know the header nuts should be tightened to 22 ft/lbs but wondering;

1. How many heat cycles people are doing before retighten?

2. Should headers/nuts be tightened when headers are stone cold e.g. First thing in morning, or while touchable warm after final heat cycle.?

Posted this in the open forum but need info reasonably quick..

1. Imho, just "1" heat cycle, all you are really doing is warming up the header to accounting for thermal expansion

2. As mentioned above, I would torque it down while warm.

I retorqued after 1 heat cycle while cold. I think only one nut moved. Torque values would be at room temperature.

Gave it a couple of heat cycles then let it cool to almost room temp. Torqued to 22 ft/lb and all good. No rattles and no leaks. Had to remove the Nameless and reinstall the OEM. Nameless with 4" resonators is just obnoxiously loud. OEM is quiet to point of boring but it'll have to do till I can get something that is somewhere between obnoxious and boring!
