Rocket stoves. Need info

I built a couple prototype camping sized rocket stoves at work and I can't get the damn things to stay burning very long. Anyone know enough about these to critique my design and get these puppies roaring?

I'll draw my last design since the stoves are at home(didn't think they'd appreciate me testing them at work)

Biggies (if I remember right) are enough air coming in, not toooo large an exit opening and keep the fuel raised and underneath it clear so the air can flow around the fuel not just over it.
Now this info is like 30 years old so may be out dated.

Or not... apparently I can't post pictures

I can't see images at work, let me get on my phone and I'll take a look. I suspect your intak/exhaust might be the issue (too little or too much)

There are no images lol what tcoat said is a good starting point to diagnose your issue.

Not much else to them. The first one I tried was all the same size tube and it didn't work so the new one has double the surface area for the burn chamber than the air/fuel inlet

Made it out of .188 (3/16) steel btw
