Apologize if the topic is confusing. I was refering to 50/50 shots of paint that has been polished and paint that hasn't. The line on that photo might not be defined enough for you to understand. It was only after one pass of polish so it wasn't as refined.

Here is a better example of a 50/50 shot. I just finished this car this weekend. I couldn't get every scratch off because the paint was in horrible condition and the paint was already thin to begin with.

It was like the guy took sandpaper to the back of the car. There are some scratches that are just too deep to remove. This was only after 105 cutting polish so there are still some polishing marks left over. I went over the car with 205 afterwards to clear up the gloss.
