clear-bra or opti coat
 

how did you guys decide to go with a clear bra or an opticoat? Is there a clear advantage of one over the other?

Does anybody know a good opticoat detailer in NYC?

Well think of opti coat as a permanent wax and clear bra as a bumper shield. Two completely different products.

You can get both, first get the clear bra and then get the opti coat, that is what most of my customers are doing now.

My beef with clear bra are, firstly if you don't do the whole hood they look ugly, secondly a bumper respray is cheaper then a clear bra and even then a clear bra can have stone chips (it's not chip proof), thirdly they can swirled up and yellowed pretty fast (un-reversible)

If I was too keep this vehicle, then I would definitely just respray the front every couple of years, as needed...that's just my 0.02
