2016 RS 2.0 Manual anywhere near?

Mounted front licence plates need not apply (Fairfield and Concord).

Looking for a RS 2.0 with a manual trans mission in a nearby lot before I get crazy and start looking out of state or making another 14hr round trip to get one down south as I did with the '13 Hot Lava.

Prefer pre-PPI and MUST be without front licence drilled.

If you happen to see one on a lot when you are in your travels, please PM or respond in thread.

Now, to flip the exhaust, wheels and such back to stock on the Hot Lava.

TIA,

Eric G

Hey Putnam Toyota in Burlingame have 1 right now. We haven't done the pdi for it yet. So i would call in and let them know your interested.

PM'd you! Putnam definitely still has one, and I gave you the number of my dad who is the veteran salesperson there.

Thanks Veloist! I am mid-end deal with the showroom model from SFScion.

I did call and ask for more info and/or if pricing could be matched over at Putnam. There are a few local (Maita Scion Sac) and far away (Mesa Scion) with a fairly decent discount for the RS of $2500 give or take.

Right now, I have a few of days of dealing with the '13 Hot Lava trade/sale as I finalize the numbers on RS2.0 #501.

THANKS AGAIN for the heads up!

Ideally I'd want you to buy from me, but I don't have any manuals. Your best bet would be to get a freight status car. Downtown Toyota in Oakland and Antioch has theirs in freight. That way you can instruct them to not put the front plate brackets on during the PDI process.

The one in Putnam has the TRD sway bars and exhaust, as well as fog lights.

SF has had theirs for 4 days. They also have one in allocation.

Both SF units have fog lights and the rear bumper applique.

Maita is lying or not giving a legitimate quote as they do not have a manual RS2 (quotes aren't valid or have to be honored unless they have the vehicle). Mesa is probably quoting you at or $100 below invoice since they probably don't think you'd go all the way there (700 miles). That's just crazy for limited edition vehicles.

Thanks for the heads up about the one in allocation! I may work on that one if possible.

Yes, correct about Maita not having the manual. Here's the link I quoted.

http://www.maitascion.com/new-invent...odyStyle=Coupe

Mesa has $1500 off most models right now

http://www.earnhardtscion.com/new-in...odyStyle=Coupe

I forgot where else I saw another $2000-$2500 autotrader/cars.com-sourced info for the RS2.0 manual specifically within western states.

Thanks again for all the information. Last time with the 13 Hot Lava, I had all of the allocation information, build dates and so on. I'd like to have a screen shot of that information with the new car, wherever I purchase it.

Please be advised that they're quoting using both the college grad and military rebate. So those two actually equal out to a $1,250 total. Their actual discount would be 2k for Maita, and what ever it is (if any) for Mesa, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have addendums attached (I see it all the time).

You have to click on the "detailed pricing"

Mesa: "Sale price is MSRP less factory rebates and applicable Earnhardt discounts."

Maita: "*Maita Value Price shown is after all applicable rebates and incentives and is in lieu of any reduced APRs and special leases."

I just hate it how deceptive most dealerships are. Gives me a hard time at work since people just think I'll/we'll be the same.

Deal fell through on #501. Looking at a few around, catching them just in time to ask if they have been drilled, ;)

Thanks again Kaotic Lazagna for the insight to pricing and I will ask to see it in writing and make sure that they are legit offers.

No problem.

If you don't mind me asking, why did the deal fall through for #501?

I really wish I had one to sell you. We're straight forward. Haha

mkiisupra 05-13-2016 01:27 PM

The deal fell through due to the usual circumstances. I was negotiating, working on trade-in numbers. Back and forth emails over a couple of days. I guess that I didn't ensure the process by putting down a deposit (no biggie, the trade-in wasn't available yet) and the car was sold. Found two others that day, and the hunt continues. Just trying not to have to drive 7 hours to find the right car, like back in Nov. 2012.

Ah, I see. It's hard to work trade in numbers without seeing a car in person. You might run into issues with that no matter who you contact.

Here it is! After about 4 weeks of hard searching and 2 weeks of playing with numbers, they started to show up! Didn't have to drive too far, only to San Jose, about 86 miles away ;)

Thanks again for all the help!
